We have been ask to open the show for Sharon Shannon at the Cathedral Quarter Arts Festival in Belfast on Fri 30th April. We’re only delighted to do so and looking forward to our first performance in Belfast. Furthermore considering we’re planning to have Sharon as one of our guests in our new album, currently being recorded. For once, we are taking things easy with this our third album and though initially we have thought we would have it nearly ready by now, we slowed down a bit for personal reasons. It will be after the summer when we bring it out.

The show at the Cathedral Quarter Arts Festival (www.cqaf.com) will be a great opportunity for NoCrows to perform in front of the Belfast audiences for the first time with the hope it will be the first of many. The band will be playing mostly the repertoire of the new album and also hope to have a few guests on the night. It might be one of the few proper gigs we will be playing in Ireland before September, so, come and join us. The week after we’re off to Belgium and then to Spain. Busy month of May…

It was about time we had another bit of video footage to show you, guys. So, these ones were done in Sligo on Feb 20th by the good people of www.thebandwagontv.com Recorded totally acoustic in a small caravan, with an amazing sound all things considered. Eddie and his double bass had some problems fitting under the low ceiling. Great fun to watch.

Click here to watch the first one on YouTube (Steve Wickham’s Crowswing) and here to watch the second one (Declan Corey’s Two Black Russians & A Pernod)

Still far away from finishing the new album, but you’ll all be happy when it’s out. It will be a cracker.

This month of March we have a couple of private functions, one of them with our beloved friend Oleg as Steve is very busy with The Waterboys new show, An Appointment with Mr. Yeats. From here we want to wish Steve, Mike and the rest of the band the best of luck with the shows.

Finally, letting you know we’re really looking forward to our trips to Belgium and Spain in May and hope to meet some of you guys over there.
